The pedal is excellent for clever design, due to its super small size and, most of all, the cover plate for the controls (which prevents accidental changes to your hardly conquered, precious tone!). The building quality is also amazing for such a cheap pedal and this little monster seems to be ready for the road.
Soundwise, it does sound good but don't expect it can sound like a Marshall (neither the real thing or one of its expensive emulators like tech 21 british). It's ballsy on the bass strings and a little too brittle on the high frequencies, lacking on the mid section; the drive doesn't deliver tons of gain, but sits in the overdrive area rather than distortion (think of Angus Young sound on You shook me all nite long).
It isn't too noisy, it engages a little hiss if pushed to extreme settings but nothing that the audience can hear at a gig or a good sound guy can manage in a recording environment.
Overall a good sounding pedal, not the mojo, but what more can you ask for this price tag?
I bought it as a mule for my tech21nyc british and I certainly don't regret my purchase, but It's never gonna replace its expensive cousin.
