Let me first say that I am not a photographer, though I do enjoy taking pictures. I have a small mirror-less system that I like to keep with me along with an assortment of other handy items. I had been looking for a good work/travel/wander cary/catchall bag for quite some time. When this bag was first announced I was anxious for it to become available, I knew it was what I had been looking for. After receiving it and using it for some time, I feel no differently.
I have hated having individual bags and padded pouches for everything individually that are all stacked on top of each other in the main bag. Inevitably what I want is always at the bottom, so everything has to come out and then be put back, such a hassle. Having the pouches attached to the back is great. I have access to anything in any of those pouches all the way down to the bottom of the bag. The organizer section opposite the pouches is also great. Perhaps more slots for pens would be nice, but that's just with the way I use it. I like that that organizer section has many different ways to store things, a couple mesh pockets at the bottom, some short skinny slots, some longer skinny slots, a good pocket sized pocket, a zipper pouch, a good assortment. Theres a way to store pretty much whatever you need so long as it's small. This brings me to one of only two negatives I have been able to come up with.
As I said earlier, this is my work/travel/wander bag and as I didn't say, I live in Seattle so bringing a rain jacket or an extra layer of some sort is something of a must. I had hoped that I would be able to squeeze a windbreaker and a thin sweatshirt in between the pouches on the back and the organizer in the front, and you can, That space is quite tight if the pouches on the back are anywhere near full. The way I think about it is that the pouches on the back take up the full space inside the bag, if one of the pouches is empty you can compress a jacket to fit in the area that would have been taken up by the pouch. there is also a wee bit of space below the pouches and a good amount above it. All of that said, if you are trying to squeeze your gear and some jackets into the bag it can be done, but takes some planning. The front of the bag does not expand at all, the space you have is the space you have. This is both an obvious negative and to me a positive. It stops me from over packing, because in all honesty if I can't get it in the bag, I probably don't need it and if I could get it in, the bag would be =P.
The only other negative I found was that the top front of the bag would crease inward and make it difficult to operate that top zipper. I fixed this by sewing in a bit of aluminum tent pole along the inner seam. I don't know that this is an issue that would annoy most people but even if it does, there is an easy fix.
The pockets on the outside are good too. I like that one works for a tripod in conjunction with the strap up top. The rain cover is also very nice. It's a really well designed bag. I am very happy with my backpack.
If you are curious what I cary in my bag, and to show that it is not just a camera bag, here is a rough list in no particular order:
    13" macbook
    iPad
Sony NEX 6 with a prime and a kit lens, UV filter, Camera cleaning brush blower and cloth, Collapsible reflector
USB battery bank and cables for iPad, camera, phone and others
    GoPro, remote, charger, several mounts
    iFixit pro toolkit
    Headphones
    Sunglasses
    Flashdrives
    Multimeter
    Sharpies, pens pencils
    Handheld mic + cable
    Gloves
    Water bottle
    Bike light
    Wrench
    Jacket
Let me start by saying that I have a lot of camera bags, many of them from Think Tank. They make terrific products -- very well designed and with bulletproof construction. Offhand I can think of eight TTP bags in my studio right now, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.
I also have some backpacks -- the original Lowepro Stealth bag designed for traveling photojournalists, with neoprene pouches for two big pro DSLR bodies and three f/ zooms and a laptop, and the new Gura Gear Uinta. Both are great packs, but neither of them works well for the smaller mirrorless gear for urban travel. I was hoping that this TTP Perception Pro would solve that problem for me.
Short version: I sent it back.
    Long version:
I need to carry two or three Fuji mirrorless bodies and 4-6 lenses, mostly primes. I'd like to have room for a water bottle, a jacket, maps, a small laptop or tablet, and the other stuff that one needs when traveling either on assignment or for fun. Being able to carry a small travel tripod would be a bonus. I can fit all that in a shoulder bag but at my age it's getting kinda heavy, so I am looking for a backpack. It needs to be slim, soft, non-bulky, and not look too much like a camera backpack. The Perception Pro is the closest thing I have found.
Some thoughts, in no particular order:
    1. It will hold two mirrorless bodies and 4-5 lenses, but the Fuji bodies are just a little too big. They will fit with smaller lenses attached but it's tight. With a 23mm or 56mm and a metal lens hood, it's too tight. The 55-200 does not fit in the bottom lens pouch. This would be a perfect pack for a Micro 4/3 kit with lots of primes and a couple zooms.
    2. The suspension side of the bag has a stiffener, like a frame sheet, and a slot for a laptop and a tablet. The pack sits upright without collapsing. One opens the large zipper and the front of the bag opens like a clamshell to reveal the interior.
    3. The camera and lens pouches are sewn onto the front of that frame sheet, so the gear is organized and reasonably easy to get to inside the pack. There are little dividers for the lens pouches so one can put two lenses in each pouch.
    4. Once the clamshell closes, there is not as much room inside as I expected for additional stuff, like a tour book or jacket. There are two nice stretchy pockets on the sides for water bottles, etc.
    5. The suspension is very comfortable even with a full load. The pack is not too large -- easily can be carried on an airplane as a second bag, I think. I've certainly carried larger camera bags than this on as my second bag.
    6. The built-in method for carrying a small travel tripod is genius. Whoever designed it should get a raise. Can Think Tank please add this to the front of their rolling cases?
If it fit the gear I would have kept it and been very happy.
The Think Tank Photo Perception Pro Backpack (Black) is designed specifically for mirrorless systems. This is the "go-to" pack for those looking to add flexibility to their workflow while using a smaller system along with a laptop and tablet. In fact, our designers took inspiration from Think Tank's popular Shape Shifter, including protective features to enclose and secure camera gear, scaled to a smaller form factor. Perception Pro: Fits a 15" laptop + 10" tablet (iPad) + one mirrorless body or small DSLR with a small to medium zoom attached (lens hood reversed) plus 4-5 more lenses, or fits a large GoPro kit. For superior water-resistance, all exterior fabric has a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating, plus the underside of the fabric has a polyurethane coating. It is also constructed with 600D twill, YKK® RC zippers, 320g dry-flow air mesh, nylon webbing, and 3-ply bonded nylon thread.
