great, functional backpack. Has a pocket that unzips on the top for a 15" laptop. I have another bag like this where the pocket unzips from the side, which i don't like because i've accidentally forgotten to zip the bag and the laptop fell out. yikes!
The middle compartment is spacious, and has an area for a 10" tablet. also a great feature! the main compartment isn't huge, but big enough to get everything you need for the day. main compartment also has two pouches for carrying smaller items (like a sunglasses case, for example).
The front of the bag has two additional compartments that open on either side of the bag. interestingly, they overlap each other, so if you really stuff one of them, it renders the other effectively useless. if you have smaller items and want to use for organizing, this makes sense.
Other than that, solid stitches and hardware. No chest strap, which is a bummer when you're carrying heavier loads. and finally, i didn't love the color, which looked like a cool dark blue to me in the pic, but looks more like a funky acid wash denim in reality. I could see some stylish folks making it work though.
anyway, recommend this. solid pack, good compartments for storage. ditch your briefcase and get this (but maybe consider a different color!
This is a very nice lightweight pack with no whistles and bells. It looks quite professional and is very well constructed. As noted, it does not have all those zippers, pouches, hooks and clamps all over the place nor does it have wild pictures and a simple, well made and lightweight pack.
This is not the sort of pack I would use for long distance traveling nor is it the sort of thing I would use on a daily bases in my work environment. I don’t think it would be suitable as a pack for younger children in school use.
The pack is very comfortable. It is ideal for trips to the library where you want to tote along your laptop or tablet along with a couple of note pads and such.
As most of my friends do, I also have a number of packs available which I use for various activities. What I would use on a two month trek is not what I would use on my weekly trip to the library.
All in all this is a quality product and I am happy with it.
